We believe that lives, which are being transformed by the presence of Christ within, are the most powerful means to “proclaim the One who called them from darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9). Join us in what God is doing and experience His transforming presence in your life.

We acknowledge that God is the head of our organization and submit ourselves and all activities to His will, knowing He is always with us in everything we do. To this effect, TLAfrica, Inc. board members and staff will live a life that honors God – a life of purity and holiness.
Transformation-Our Ministry Philosophy
Our ministry is based on the premise that the renewal of our mind described in Romans 12:1-2 should be reflected in the way we live our day-to-day life, and the way we express our concern for the suffering, the afflicted, and the oppressed. We should therefore preach the Gospel holistically, that it might lead to spiritual, social and economic change.
Creativity and Innovation
We will constantly evaluate our methods and strategies, seeking relevant ideas to maximize the organization effectively in order to achieve our vision and objectives.
Pursuit of excellence
To ensure excellence in our programs and activities, we strive to attract talented, honest and committed men and women of God, to develop and mentor them as we serve together. We seek to put significant emphasis on meaningful programs that will benefit God’s people and will change their lives by empowering them and giving them more dignity as people created in God’s image.
Integrity and accountability
We seek to act with integrity, openness, honesty and accountability in all we do. We recognize that the financial and material resources with which we work are not our own, but have been entrusted to us for use in alleviating the suffering of others. We commit to managing resources that God will bring to us to the maximum benefit of those we serve.
We proclaim the value of collaboration and working together in God’s Kingdom. We commit to promoting unity, equality, participation, cooperation, interdependence, growth and integration among all people and groups. Our primary partners are local churches whom we can serve as they also serve the community. We are also partners with our donors and supporters, other para-church organizations, as well as theological institutions which share a common commitment to promoting holistic change in the African community.
This year, Christmas comes in a period following the passing on of my mum. How is this season impacting my life at this time when I am still mourning the departure of one who has greatly impacted my life? God becoming flesh and coming to dwell among men (Jn. 1:14) is a very profound theological reflection for me at this time. He is the Great Other with me, filling the gap of my mum who was the other and doing for me more than my mum. My mum did not go with me everywhere I went; Jesus did. Even as a mother she could neither understand my deepest pain nor grasp my feelings of doubt, discouragement, disillusionment; Jesus does. When I was away from her (2/3 of my life) she could not hear my cry whenever life became rough or whenever I felt threatened by my enemies. But Jesus hears my cry and responds immediately. Several times I have heard an inner voice saying, “Son, I am with you; this is small for me to deal with. Be still for I have conquered.” What a re-assuring voice! Yes – He is an ever present help in trouble (Ps. 46). Even as I deal with the pain of separation, He continues to re-assure me that He is there with me. It must be difficult for those who go through it alone! Thank you Immanuel for being God with me! May He be Immanuel – God with you in your situation! Merry Christmas to you all and peace from above!
